Let me welcome you to the Ultimate Gift blog. I’m Heather Steele, the President and CEO of the Innocent Justice Foundation. We started the Ultimate Gift website because we wanted to offer a more hopeful and inspirational perspective on our work of helping to rescue children from predators.

Child sexual assault is a revolting topic! Who could imagine that anyone could hurt an innocent the way that child molesters do? To the vast majority of us, it’s unfathomable, unbelievable and unimaginable. But it is happening, and if we don’t address it, it will continue to ruin the lives of millions of helpless children throughout the United States.

We’re doing a lot more than just talking about it, though. We are excited because for the first time in history, we can now rescue millions of American kids, and track, find, and stop hundreds of thousands of child molesters by following the digital trail of their crimes on the internet.

Technology has made possible what was never possible before: We can break the cycle of child sexual abuse in our lifetimes. How? By using child pornography to track down child molesters and remove them from our neighborhoods. We can hunt down predators using the very means they use to victimize children.

Since the average child pornography viewer has 14-31 child sexual assault victims before being caught with child sexual abuse images, each time one of these predators is taken off the streets dozens of children are rescued or receive justice.

Only 2% of child pornography offenders are currently being investigated due to lack of police resources. We can change that. With your help, we can enable frontline law enforcement to rescue millions of kids and arrest every predator leaving a digital trail of his devastating destruction on the internet.
